Overview
The degree structure, the first of its kind in Canada’s tourism and hospitality education system, organizes the content into nine-credit thematic modules on the topics of tourism leadership, sustainable tourism, destination development, international hotel and resort management and applied research. The sequence in which the four modules are taken can vary per individual according to their interest and work schedule, with the exception of the research module which would typically be the last module completed. Please visit the Learning Model page for detailed information.
The schedule below details the different modules within the MA in Tourism Management until 2015. This will be updated as the dates for future offerings are added. As soon as applicants confirm their acceptance into the program, our School Manager will contact them to discuss the module offerings to determine the MA in Tourism Management date sequencing that best suits their lifestyle. It is the responsibility of each student to declare the sequence in which they will pursue the four modules to obtain their degree. Typically, students take two years to complete the degree, however, it is possible to extend this time frame and complete the degree in three, four or five years.
