Jennifer Williams, MA in Environmental Education and Communication
J. Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s, Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada
Stories of domination and inequality have fostered mistrust and misunderstandings between First Nations and settler populations in Canada. Historical divides have cultivated an “us” and “them” mentality with stereotypes in both directions, informed by differing worldviews.
Led from her experiences working cross culturally on renewable energy projects, Jennifer’s research explored what is happening on the ground in cross-cultural environmental initiatives striving to build a more positive way forward for future work.
