Deanne Turnbull-Loverock, MA in Environmental Education and Communication

J. Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s, Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada

Green-minded employers can help encourage the learning of pro-environmental behaviours like reducing, recycling, and composting. Deanne aims to change workplace behaviours into lifestyle habits by encouraging business leaders to be a part of the solution. Her research focused on the recognition that our behaviour is not changing fast enough to stop the environmental damage that is occurring and that partnerships between environmental communicators and business leaders can be leveraged to create rapid, sustainable social change.
