Angela Boss, MA in Human Security and Peacebuilding
J. Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s, Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada
Angela was drawn to study at Royal Roads University after living and working in the Central African Republic (CAR), one of the least developed countries in the world. For her research project she evaluated the program Women and Children Gardening for Health, for how it addressed the needs of the community Gamboula where insecurity, chronic under-development and the effects of the global economic crisis have resulted in 43 percent of the population facing food insecurity. Angela found that the project addressed agrobiodiversity and nutrition education but calls for more follow-up with participants and a more robust seed-saving system.
