The MA in Environmental Education and Communication is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on developing competency and skill in educators and communicators who present environmental information to audiences. This is an interdisciplinary program that builds both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills.
The program presents a range of theoretical and practical understandings about environmental education and communications and draws from a wide range of methodologies including case studies, field studies, cultural studies, team projects, lectures, seminar discussions, and online modules. As cultural understandings are an important part of education and communications, students will have opportunities to engage in discussions with holders of traditional, as well as scientific knowledge.
This program complements, and builds on expertise in related existing degree programs at Royal Roads University in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Conflict Resolution, Leadership, and Learning and Technology.
Students can earn their Masters Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Environmental Education and Communication while continuing to work. More
