The Bachelor of Arts in Global Tourism Management (BAGTM)* program is a two year, 60-credit, on-campus program, designed to go far beyond a regional focus. It deals with global tourism opportunities, trends, and issues with a specific emphasis on the competencies that industry professionals need to be successful in different countries and cultures.  

Students will focus on case studies and examples from around the world, enabling students to compare and contrast approaches to sustainable tourism development.  The program will address ethical issues, workplace and environmental challenges encountered by managers in different countries. The international focus is enhanced by the national and international heritages the program will attract.

Who it’s for
Those who have completed a two year post-secondary diploma (or equivalent) in tourism, hospitality, business or recreation. No formal work experience is required to qualify for this program. Through our Flexible Admission Policy, we also consider those who may not completely fulfill academic requirements, but who have significant professional experience. More

Outcomes
Global Tourism Management emphasizes sustainable planning, development, and management of tourism resources, destinations, and businesses by incorporating case studies and examples from around the world. Students actively compare and contrast real examples, with the guidance of instructors who have demonstrated expertise in the industry. Students learn how to identify and solve challenges that occur while working with different societies and cultures. The degree recognizes the diversity of tourism and prepares you for employment in private, public, or non-profit career paths. More
