RRU President appoints 20 industry and community leaders to new Fellows Council

Victoria, B.C. – Royal Roads University President Dr. Allan Cahoon has announced the names of 20 prominent industry and community leaders who have agreed to become inaugural members of the university’s Fellows Council.
“In the Middle Ages, they’d be called Knights but we call them Fellows,” said Cahoon, referring to the team who will advise him on ways the university – with an iconic castle on its campus – can respond to current and emerging labour force and marketplace needs in British Columbia and across Canada.
Like the Knights of the Round Table, the RRU Fellows will be stewards of good leadership, entrepreneurship, community and corporate responsibility.
“We’re proud to have the support of such a prestigious group because our success depends on our ability to respond to the needs of working professionals,” said Cahoon.
Royal Roads University was established by the Province of British Columbia in 1995 as a special purpose university charged with advancing professionals in the workplace. It is the only public university in Canada exclusively designed for this demographic and, as such, all its programs and research are focused on applied, real-world relevance and experience.
