RRU prof says big three bail out in the U.S. a mistake
Wharton Fellow and RRU business professor Terry Power says that governments lose the ability to force reform in the auto sector when they provide bail out packages. He says labour clout within the Democratic party has forced the hand of congress in the United States, but that the sector won`t become more efficient and produce more sustainable products if government keeps stepping in to save the big three auto manufacturers. To further explore this topic with Dr. Power members of the media are asked to contact Phil Saunders to set up an interview.

RRU centre responds to need for practical, accessible information on NTFPs
The Centre for Non-Timber Resources at Royal Roads University has responded to requests from people looking to develop new opportunities in the NTFP sector by producing a community toolkit. “Awareness of this sector has increased significantly over the past two decades,” says Tim Brigham, education and capacity-building coordinator at the centre. "What the Centre has learned is that many people are frustrated with the lack of accessible, practical information on opportunities and challenges in developing these resources." Not unlike this growing sector of the B.C. economy the toolkit will continue to grow and expand. The NTFP sector contributes millions of dollars a year to the B.C. economy. Members of the media are asked to contact Phil Saunders to set up an interview with Brigham or centre director Brian Belcher.

What`s a leader to do? RRU prof has some hints for Ignatieff and Harper
With the Liberal Party of Canada crowning Michael Ignatieff as its new leader this week, many wonder if he has the skills to take on the Conservative minority government in an increasingly acrimonious House of Commons. RRU`s resident leadership expert Graham Dickson has become a fixture in the media on matters of leadership. As the director of the Centre for Health Leadership and Research at Royal Roads University, he explores the skills required of great leadership and how to successfully guide a team on to greater successes. Does Ignatieff have what it takes? Does Stephen Harper have what it takes? Contact Phil Saunders to set up an interview with Dickson.
