Michael Real comments on Vancouver Olympic experience
Professor Michael Real has been researching the Olympics for nearly three decades. Last week he attended several Olympic events and toured the International Broadcasting Centre in downtown Vancouver.  "The games have been successful and in retrospect British Columbia will look back fondly," says Real. "Some of the pitfalls have made me wonder why the organizers didn't see them coming, however. I'm thinking here about the weather issues, the fence around the caldron and the problem of overselling Own the Podium."
