Royal Roads Makes an Impression on Students from Beijing

In an ongoing effort to build international relationships and inform students about the unique attributes of Royal Roads University, we were pleased to welcome over 65 students and teachers from Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada and Shenzhen Concord College of Sino-Canada to our campus on January 25.

Royal Roads was the first stop for the group on their cross-Canada winter tour.

Students and teachers enjoyed lunch and a short presentation from Marketing about why students should consider Royal Roads. The event concluded with a surprise visit from the actor-double for the character Wolverine from the movie X-Men II and X-Men III, filmed on location at Royal Roads.

Andy Truong, Executive Director of the Beijing Concord College of Sino-Canada thanked everyone for making their visit memorable and presented President Cahoon with several symbolic gifts in appreciation. Students and teachers left with a Royal Roads calendar, a copy of Hatley Park through the Seasons and some memories of their encounter with Wolverine.
