Canada's first Doctor of Social Sciences degree program now underway at RRU
Canada's first Doctor of Social Sciences degree program got underway this week at Royal Roads University. Designed to respond to the country's growing demand for scholar-practitioners with advanced, applied research credentials, the new four-year program will significantly change the landscape of doctoral education in Canada.

"This program fills a gap in the Canadian academic marketplace that has been identified as a priority by the public and private sector as much as academe," says Jim Bayer, Dean of the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences at Royal Roads. "Our experience in successfully delivering innovative graduate degrees for working professionals uniquely positions us to do so." Read more about the Doctor of Social Sciences degree program.
