Active in political and civic work that addresses quality of life and security issues Terry Power is a regular contributor to a number of business publications and has appeared on CBC Radio commenting on government budgets. He has been a regular columnist for Business Edge since 2004 and has been used as a resource by Sun Media and the CanWest media chain. Power also has a blog that serves as an online discussion group on global strategic studies. Powerblog is also a good resource for a sampling of Power’s most recent areas of interest.
Power specializes in strategic and international studies and teaches on the topic in graduate and undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Management. He is responsible for strategic management, law, global issues and international business courses at Royal Roads University. Power has been a member of the Faculty of Oxford - Brooks University in London and with the business school at the University of Victoria. He is also a Wharton Fellow and received the 2003 J.W. McConnell Family Foundation Strategy Lecture series award at the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Publications include “International Business: A Canadian Perspective" (2006) and “Strategic Thinking Concepts” (2007).
