Irving K. Barber Transfer Scholarship Program up to 150 x $5,000

Open to undergraduate students who, after completing two years of study at a B.C. public college, university college or institute, must transfer their credits into full-time studies at another public post-secondary institution in B.C. to complete their degree. Successful applicants must clearly demonstrate academic merit as well as significant involvement in their community and/or school.

Applications must be submitted to the college of where the student is coming from by March 31st of each year.

One World Scholarship  normally up to 4 x $1,000 to $3,000

For BC students who are enrolled in a program of study leading to a credential that is at least one year in length and who have been accepted into a study or work abroad program that either forms an integral part of the student’s credential studies or carries academic credit recognized by their home institution.  The study or work abroad program must be at least three weeks in length but no longer than one year.

Pacific Horizons Scholarship normally 1 x $1,000
For BC students who are enrolled in a program of study leading to a credential that is at least one year in length and who have made arrangements to participate in cultural or language learning studies abroad.  An eligible study abroad activity is experiential in nature and normally does not carry academic credit and/or is not a key part of the student’s academic program. This activity is typically shorter (less than four months) and involves language acquisition and/or learning about another country and its culture.

One World International Scholarship For Study In BC
Up to 10 scholarships of $10,000 each (8 for undergraduate degree programs and 2 for diploma/certificate programs) are available annually to students from an overseas country chosen by IKBSS. For the 2008/09 and 2009-10 academic years, scholarships will be available for students from the People's Republic of China.
