Course Description:

PCOM 661*: The thesis is the written product of a systematic study of a significant research topic in communication. The thesis identifies the topic, states the hypothesis or research question, identifies major assumptions, explains the significance of the undertaking, sets forth the sources for and methods of gathering information, analyzes the data, and offers a conclusion or recommendation based on the data and theoretical framing. The finished thesis evidences originality, critical and independent thinking, appropriate organization and format, and thorough documentation. The thesis should constitute approximately 400 hours of student effort. (12 credits)
