The Learning and Innovation Centre
The Learning and Innovation Centre will be the first building to be constructed on the RRU campus since the transition from a military college to a university in 1995.
Designed to complement Hatley Castle and the surrounding heritage and natural treasures of the property, the Learning and Innovation Centre at Royal Roads University continues to take shape - below budget and on schedule for a spring 2011 opening.
Situated on the slope of University Drive between the forest and Colwood Creek, the Learning and Innovation Centre will accommodate projected enrolment growth, support RRU's interactive learning model and demonstrate the university's commitment to leadership in sustainability practices.
Capital costs are estimated at $19.9 million with $15 million coming from the Government of B.C. and $3 million from the Government of Canada’s Knowledge Infrastructure Program. The remaining funds will be raised through the Royal Roads University Legacy Campaign.
