Al Moammar Information Systems Microcredit Fund
The Al Moammar Information Systems Microcredit Fund is made available to students enrolled in the on-campus (blended) model of the Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurial Management (BCom) program at Royal Roads University. The microcredit loans are offered to up to three teams, which having reached the end of the BCom program have been judged to have developed the most promising entrepreneurial project business plans. Business plan presentations are judged and award recipients selected via a series of panel adjudications in the program’s Entrepreneurial Project (ENMN 420) class. The instructors review and determine the top three in a rank order based on panel input and instructor assessment using all grading from the beginning of the course. The top three teams will be provided with the opportunity to apply for interest-free microcredit loans valued between $2,000 and $5,000. Loan amounts are determined and administered through the Vancity Langford Community Branch.
