Documents should only be submitted after applying online. Documents received without an active application will only be held for 30 days and subsequently destroyed. 

Application documents may be sent to the Admissions Office as follows:

Detailed Resume and Statement – can be submitted by e-mail, by confidential fax, or by regular mail.

Letters of Reference – To be considered valid, letters of reference must be program-specific, dated within 6 months of application, signed by the author, and include at least one contact number. Applicants may submit letters of reference in hard copy only.

The author(s) may submit letters of reference in hard copy, by facsimile, or by email to Admissions (from a valid institutional or corporate email domain only; public domain addresses such as Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc. cannot be accepted). 

Official Transcripts are typically submitted directly to RRU from the issuing institution by mail in the issuing institution’s original sealed envelope (unopened). Faxed transcripts will only be accepted as official if they come directly from the Registrar’s Office at a recognized Canadian institution and it is within one month of the application deadline. Applicants should always request a hardcopy to follow. 

Proof of Resident Status
Applicants claiming permanent resident or Convention Refugee status in Canada, who are applying to attend a program at Royal Roads University, must show proof of resident status by providing a copy of their Permanent Resident Card (PR Card). Submit a copy of this card by mail, fax, or e-mail.  Students will be required to show the original card upon arrival at Royal Roads University. 

Portfolio
When a portfolio is requested, we recommend submitting these documents in a digital format (disk or flash drive).

Application documents received by the University become the property of Royal Roads University and will normally not be photocopied for the applicant, returned, or forwarded to third parties.
