Admissions
Admissions at Royal Roads University
Applicants may be assessed for admission to Royal Roads University on the basis of their formal academic training and/or on the skills, knowledge and background developed outside traditional learning structures. This student-centred approach opens doors to higher learning for qualified candidates who otherwise might not meet traditional admission requirements, and thereby serves the needs of a diverse group of students.
Ideal candidates include self-directed and highly motivated people who demonstrate high levels of program-specific knowledge and skills and who possess strong interpersonal, research, and communication skills.
Flexible Assessment/Admissions Process
Applicants who do not have the formal academic training to qualify for the desired program will be assessed according to the guidelines consistent with the British Columbia Council of Admissions and Transfer or those previously issued by the Centre for Curriculum Transfer and Technology and the Provincial PLA Steering Committee.
